Pop-Up Patient Account Ledger Window
Consistently one of the most popular features in MediSoft Advanced, the ledger window makes it easy to review detailed information on a patient's account. Pop up the ledger window while performing any activity in the program to review charges, payments, and adjustments, and edit or delete transaction. With a mouse click you can see the amount paid by each payment source for every charge, and which charges were paid by each payment. The ledger window even displays the remaining balance on each separate charge.

Payment Application
MediSoft Advanced will simplify entering payments in customer ledgers. With payment application, you no longer have to separate and enter payments case-by-case. Enter the deposit, choose the patient, select the charges that were paid, and enter the payment detail. MediSoft Advanced will post the appropriate payments, adjustments, and deductibles to the correct case. It handles all the details for you.

Security
Protect your patient accounting information by setting up a security profile for each user. This optional feature permits or prevents access to your sensitive data. assign each user a login name, record the user's full name, assign a security level, and choose a password. That's all you need to do to provide protection for MediSoft Advanced data.

Transaction Entry Tracking
Each transaction entered is flagged with the name of the user who entered the transaction. This field is available with the Report Designer for inclusion on user-defined reports.

Custom Patient Data Screen
MediSoft Advanced stores all information you need for billing, plus any special information you need - virtually anything you can think of. Design the data input screen to look just how you want it, then choose how the information will be presented on reports and billing forms.

Casade Insurance Billing
Cascade insurance billing stages insurance billing, holding the next claim until the prior carrier has paid. When the first insurance carrier pays, the secondary claim is automatically sent. Better yet, you choose the claim formats and carriers for which this feature is used.

Multiple Fee Schedules
Every procedure code may be assigned up to twenty-six different prices. Each patient is assigned to a price level and automatically billed the correct price for every procedure. With this feature, it's easy to comply with Medicare fee schedules and meet the pricing of managed care plans.

Referral Source Report
Many healthcare practices actively market their services. To these practices, tracking the source of new patients helps make the decision to continue advertising, participate in a referral service, or pursue other marketing activities. The referral source report lists patients, the source of the patient, and the amount billed.

Referring Physician Report
For practices relying on physician referrals, the referring physician report pinpoints these valuable physician sources of referred revenue. Anesthesiologists, radiologists, and specialists who rely on referred patients now know which referring physicians to recognize for their practice's success.

Billing Notes
Each time an insurance claim is printed or submitted electronically or a patient statement is printed, a billing note will be created in the patient ledger.
